The old design & technique in Modern Fashion

Antique apparel designs have always inspired me a lot when I try to make best patterns using the best sewing methods.

Some of my works have based on the garment designs of the medieval  to early modern Europe. Some other works of mine have been influenced by the pattern-making trend of early 20th century Japan when clothing trend has dramatically become westernized and so have clothes making techniques.

While paying the utmost respect to these ancient techniques and craftsmanship, I use some of their methods to design new clothes that go well in modern life. In this way, I believe, antique clothing designs now revives in both functional and fashionable way.

My works here are not complete reproductions of ancient clothing designs.

Some traits of Chelseasouko's Antique Clothing

Most "Antique Clothing" are loose-fit and suitable for any size and genders.

Some have straps or strings at necklines or others for fitting adjustment, making fully gathered silhouette.

No zippers or elastics are used for any model of "Antique Clothing".
